In the evolving landscape of mobile banking, user engagement and brand identity are critical to retaining customers and fostering trust. This project focused on leveraging custom motion and interaction design elements to enhance the Stanbic Bank Super App, known as Appyness.
By integrating custom loaders, splash screens, and seamless microinteractions, I aimed to transform the app’s usability, improve engagement, and create a more intuitive and branded experience. These enhancements were designed to make digital banking fluid, delightful, and visually cohesive, ensuring users felt more connected to the Stanbic brand.
The result? Over 1 million downloads, increased customer retention, and higher engagement rates—demonstrating the power of interaction design in financial technology.

About
Bringing Motion and Interaction Design to Digital Banking
The Stanbic Bank Super App was built to integrate six key financial services—My Bank, Mutual Funds, Pensions, Wallet, Insurance, and Stocks—into a single platform, streamlining financial management for users.
Despite its robust features, early versions of the app lacked engagement and seamless interactions, leading to:
